Graham County Electric Co-op Annual Meeting

SAVE THE DATE:  The 75th GCEC Annual Membership meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8th in the Pima School Cafeteria located on the corner of 200 South and Main Street.  The election results will be discussed, introduction of the 2020 Washington Youth Tour students and the 2019 students will tell about their experience.  Come hear about 2019 projects and what is in store for 2020.  Lots of door prizes will be given!


Thinking of running for the GCEC Board?  If you are a member of Graham County Electric Cooperative and have an interest in running for the Board of Directors, election petitions are available beginning December 10, 2019.  The petition requires 25 valid member signatures from your district.  The petitions are due back to the GCEC Office in Pima by January 2, 2020 at 5:30 p.m.  Ballots will be mailed mid-January, with the election committee reporting the results at the annual meeting on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.  If you have any questions about the election process or would like to pick up a petition, please contact Than Ashby at 928.485.2451.

Previous meeting: The 74th Graham County Electric Cooperative Member meeting was held on Saturday, February 9th in the Pima School Cafeteria.  Besides hearing from CEO/General Manager Kirk Gray, the members also heard from Town of Pima Manager Sean Lewis.  Mr. Lewis spoke of partnerships and speaking to each other face to face to work out issues and details to help each other.  GCEC recently partnered with the Town of Pima on USDA Rural Ecomonic Developement Loan & Grant (REDL&G) for the OHS building project.  Also, re-elected were incumbents Reuben McBride (District 1), Stephen Hooper (District 2). and Tommy Clonts (District 3).  This is the lowest turnout of returned ballots, Member Election Committee Chairperson Lynn Daley noted. New this year were Coop Connections local businesses, who displayed their merchandise and spoke with members before and after the business meeting.  Numerous door prizes were given that included a smart TV, Samsong Tablet, Straight Talk cell phones, numerous blue tooth speakers, and a drone donated by AEPCO,  See you next year on Saturday, February 8th, 2020 for our 75th Anniversary!

SAVE THE DATE- The 74th Annual Graham County Electric Cooperative Member meeting is set for Saturday, February 9th at 10:00 a.m, at the Pima School Cafeteria.  CEO/General Manager Kirk Gray will provide updates on the electric power costs, infrastructure, and projects for the co-op.  The incumbent directors vying for re-election are: Reuben McBride (District 1) , Stephen Hooper (District 2), and Tommy Clonts (District 3).  Again, the members will sign in electronically.  New to  the meeting will be businesses representing Coop Connections discounts and additional products. GCEC continues to focus on member needs and work for the sustainable development of the community as stated in the 7 Cooperative Principles-"Concern for Community". Doors open at 9:30 a.m.  Come early to visit the Coop Connection booths and mingle with your neighbors.
